Description:

The AYC-Q54B is a vandal-resistant, waterproof, standalone, convertible integrated reader and controller. The AYC-Qx4 series automatically determines whether to function as a reader or as a controller. If the unit is connected to a access control unit, then it functions as a reader providing Wiegand data out. In this mode the number of users is only limited to the users supported in your access control system.

If the unit is connected to a secure module such as the PC-25T PSU (101-178), it functions as a secured controller.

As a controller, the units accept up to 500 users, and allow entry via a personal identification number (PIN) via a dry contact from the PC-25T Power supply unit which is mounted on the secure side of the door.

The pin code length for the controller has several options. The pin code length can be a set number of 4, 5 or 6 digits or it can be a 4-8 digits option.

As part of Ness's convertible line of readers/controllers, this unit can be operated as a keypad reader which connects to any standard access controller, (users only limited by the users in the access controller), or converts into a secure 500 users stand-alone controller when connected to a PC-25T PSU (refer 101-178) intelligent power supply / relay units.
